# ENYO Metronome > A free metronome for the browser, iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch and Apple Vision Pro, by ENYO Technologies. The web version runs at https://metronome.enyotechnologies.com/app/: no account needed, no ads, works offline, installs as an app, and opens already set to any tempo, time signature, subdivision and accents from its address. The site also lists the tempo, time signature and feel of 991 well-known songs, each on its own page with a click at that tempo. - The web metronome is free, with no ads and no account needed. The App Store app is free too, with optional tips. - Timing is scheduled on the Web Audio clock, so the click does not drift. - Browsers only allow sound after a person interacts with the page: a link sets the metronome up but never starts it. A person (or an agent acting in a real browser) presses Start, or the Space bar. - Song tempos are the ones the app uses: the commonly cited tempo of each song, not a measurement of one particular recording. Live versions vary. - The web app keeps setlists, songs, the practice journal and settings in the browser. An optional free ENYO Sync account (email, Apple or Google) keeps setlists, songs and the journal the same on every device signed in to it. It sends anonymous usage counts only if the person agrees, and never a song, a setlist's name, a tempo or anything typed. The song pages and About send one cookieless visit count each, never which song. - It installs from the browser (Install App in the sidebar, Install on a phone, or the browser's own menu) and then opens in its own window or from the Home Screen. ## Open the metronome with a link Add these parameters to https://metronome.enyotechnologies.com/app/ to open the metronome already set up. They apply in this order: `song`, then `ts`, then the rest, then `open`. Every value is checked against what the app offers (numbers are kept in range, a value between two choices takes the nearer one, anything not understood is ignored), and the parameters are then removed from the address. Other parameters (`utm_*`, `ref`) are left alone. - `song`: a song from the list, by the slug of its page (`song=seven-nation-army-the-white-stripes`) or by its name (`song=Seven Nation Army — The White Stripes`); sets its tempo, time signature and feel, and the other parameters then change it - `bpm`: the tempo, 10 to 400, one decimal allowed (`bpm=121.8`) - `ts`: the time signature, beats/note value: 1 to 32 beats over 1, 2, 4, 8, 16 or 32 (`ts=7/8`; also `7-8`, `c`, `cut`). A new bar starts with its first beat accented - `sub`: clicks in each beat: `quarter`, `eighths`, `triplets`, `sixteenths`, `quintuplets`, `sextuplets`, `septuplets`, `32nds`, or 1 to 8 - `accents`: one letter per beat: `A` accent, `n` normal, `s` soft, `x` silent; as many letters as the bar has beats (`ts=7/8&accents=AnAnAnn` is 7/8 grouped 2+2+3) - `poly`: a polyrhythm, a pulse of 2, 3, 4, 5 or 7 across the bar (`poly=3`), or against part of it (`poly=3:2` in 4/4 plays 3 against 2, twice a bar); `off` to stop. A pulse that shares a factor with the beats it is set against (2 against 4) is not a polyrhythm and is ignored - `poly2`: a second pulse over the first, by the same rules, neither equal to `poly` nor dividing it - `ramp`, `every`, `to`: the tempo trainer: `ramp` BPM faster (1, 2, 5 or 10; 0 off) every `every` bars (1, 2, 4, 8 or 16) up to `to` BPM (20 to 300) - `play`, `mute`: the rhythm trainer: `play` bars with the click (1, 2, 4 or 8), then `mute` silent bars (1, 2 or 4; 0 off) - `countin`: count-in bars, 0, 1 or 2 - `timer`: a practice timer of so many minutes (1 to 1439, or `1h`) that starts with the click; `stopwatch`, or `off` - `sound`: `click` or `pulse` - `start`: shows a reminder to press Start (the sound still waits for a press) - `open`: what to show: `stage` (Stage Mode, the full-window player; also `metronome`), `polyrhythm`, `tempo-trainer`, `rhythm-trainer`, `timer`, `tuner`, `setlists`, `library`, `search` (with `q=` for the search text) or `journal`.
